Life's End Institute: Missoula Demonstration Project (LEI) is eager to provide people working to improve the
quality of life's end in communities throughout America with tools they need to advance their
efforts. In this spirit we continue to consciously contribute nationally, offering all we have
and have done to our national colleagues and neighbors. We encourage use of our research tools
and methodologies to establish local databases, and to contribute to a collective, national
database of information about how Americans approach death, and about how we care for and support
one another as we die and as we grieve. LEI is ready to assist qualified researchers in
communities across the country in their quest to replicate and extend our work.
All of our research tools have been thoroughly developed, carefully reviewed, pilot- tested
and used in LEI studies. We believe each of these tools represents a "state-of- the art"
instrument in the application for which it is designed. We have completed formal validation procedures on some, but not all tools.
We are making these instruments and services available to researchers. We can continue
to do so only by charging a reasonable fee for their use. Purchase may be made by
contacting Life's End Institute at (406) 728-1613, or
by writing to: .
